According to the report El Español en el Mundo, Anuario 2023 by the Instituto Cervantes, Spanish is the second most spoken native language in the world and ranks fourth in terms of total speakers globally. It is also the third most used language on the internet, the second most popular on major digital platforms, and the fourth most studied language worldwide.
